UNL Graduate Application Form
Application Fee $50.00 – provide credit card details on application form
GMAT – score of 600 or higher is highly recommended (or comparable GRE)
- Email unofficial pdf and request official score be sent to UNL
GMAT code for UNL is S40-HW-48, GRE code is 6877
- Official score must be received by UNL directly from GMAT/GRE company in order for application to be complete
All past university/college complete transcripts
- 3.0 GPA is highly recommended
- Prerequisite classes: Student must have completed the following courses

- Not required if the transcript includes the name of the degree and the date it was conferred

English proficiency - Minimum of IELTS 6.5 or TOEFL 100.
- If the student has not taken the IELTS or TOEFL exams or the scores are too low, they will not be admitted to UNL Graduate Studies.

Personal Statement:
- All applicants are required to submit a personal statement. The statement is evaluated on content, sentence structure, and grammar. The word limit is 750 words or less. It should include the following:
- Briefly describe your past professional experience and relevant skills
- What would you contribute to our MBA program?
- What are some of your short and long term professional goals?
- How would a University of Nebraska-Lincoln MBA assist you in achieving your goals?

Statement of Purpose
- Electrical:
- Suggested length: 2 pages
- Be creative, be honest, and give us an idea of who you are and what you are looking to gain from the program.
- Telecommunications:
- Length: SOP should be no longer than 5 pages
- Content: We would like to know any specific reason(s) for the student’s interest in the telecommunications area, including work experience, future plans in this area, and research interests.
- Civil:
- Length: 1 page
- Content: Submit one page describing long-term goals, how graduate studies in Civil Engineering at Nebraska will help you achieve your goals, and any additional information you think will help in evaluating your application.
- Mechanical:
- Length: Most SOP’s are 1.5-2 pages long, but they can range from 1-3 pages.
- Content: Student must include your research interests and goals.
- This is an opportunity for student to present him/herself for faculty to get to know him/her better.
